Here we are. Human beings, walking around on planet earth. Maybe you were born a woman or maybe you were born a man. Regardless, you were born with a combination of feminine & masculine energies, yin & yang. We’re living in a society that values the masculine (yang) traits & belittles the feminine (yin). This is slowly beginning to change & we are being encouraged to see this disharmony through the current environment.
It’s time for us to take the hint and tap back into the half of our soul that has been so wildly neglected. Ignored at the expense of our long term health & wellness. It’s time we see the value in every facet of our being. Time we prioritize harmony & understand that constant action without rest & recharge is not a sustainable productivity model. The effect & power of masculine energies can only be fully realized when equally partnered with the calming & restful feminine energies.
…Yin & Yang at a glance…
Yang: Action, Sun, Hard, Rational Thought, Giving, Movement, Tough, Following instructions, State of doing, Thinking, Fear based, Taking away from the whole, Loud, Linear, Usage, Logical, Solidity, Straight, Individual Oriented
Yin: Rest, Moon, Soft, Intuition, Receiving, Stillness, Vulnerable, Creative thought, State of being, Feeling, Love based, Giving to the whole, Quiet, Circular, Conservation, Emotional, Fluidity, Curvy, Group Oriented
Once we start incorporating the yin into our daily routine, our yang practices will feel less stressful & less like work. Inactivity is not the lack of productivity but the necessary counter balance to make activity sustainably productive. Once we can see that doing less leads to gaining more, then our measure of success will shift from one that values busy, stressful work environments to one that values harmony in all facets of life.
